Gifts of Stock and Appreciated Securities
For information on gifts of stock and securities, please contact John Boyer, Director of Development, at 615-298-9547.
Donors cannot be credited for “unclaimed” stock gifts, so be sure to request the submission of your name with all stock transfers to OHS.
Gifts of Tangible Personal Property (gifts-in-kind)
Oak Hill School appreciates any gifts-in-kind that further the mission of the school. The school is prohibited by law to appraise the value of gifts of tangible personal property in any form. For donations of personal property over $500, the donor must complete the appropriate IRS forms for tax deduction purposes; for property having a value of $5,000 or more, the donor must obtain a qualified, independent appraisal.
For information on bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder or lead trusts, pooled income funds, and other ways to include OHS in your estate plans, please visit the Planned Gifts area of this site (linked).
Corporate Matching Gifts
You may be able to double, triple, or even quadruple the value of your gift to OHS if you are employed by one of the many companies, or their divisions, subsidiaries or affiliates, with matching gift programs. What’s more, a great number of employers will match contributions of spouses, directors or retirees, as well as those of employees. To make your contributions grow, simply obtain a matching gift form from your company’s Matching Gift Coordinator (usually in the Human Resources or Community Relations Department), fill it out and send it with your contribution.
