Foreign Language

The Oak Hill School is dedicated to giving its students the means to become excellent world citizens through language study.

For PreK and Kindergarten students, routine Spanish songs begin and end each 40 minute class that includes a variety of games.  New vocabulary is added with each circulated Unit of study.  This is a scaffolding technique which ensures continual learning of the Spanish language.

The older students attend class in a foreign language lab with teaching tools to facilitate the discovery of foreign cultures and ancient civilizations.

Sixth graders attend an introductory Latin course with a concentrated rotation allowing them to explore Latin derivatives and build broader vocabularies.
