Pre-Kindergarten at Oak Hill School

Pre-Kindergarten is under the supervision and accreditation of Oak Hill School and the Tennessee Department of Education. Our objective is to provide each child with the opportunity and stimulation, which will bring about maximum development of his/her whole personality, including all phases of spiritual, mental, social, and physical growth in a Christian environment.
The program consists of two 4-year-old classes and one 5-year-old class. All classes are in session five days a week, dismissing at 12 noon or 2:30 p.m.
Hours:
8:00 – noon
noon – 2:30 pm. Afternoon Extended Day
2:30 – 6:00 After Care Program
The classes are center-based with developmentally appropriate activities for cognitive learning as well as many opportunities provided to grow through play. The hands-on centers include art, dramatic play, computer, blocks, listening, writing, math, games and manipulatives, multi-sensory, science, reading, and language arts. Each class has additional ENRICHMENTS of music, art,
library, Spanish, and field trips.
In a loving, caring, nurturing environment we work to help each child develop a sense of self-confidence so that he or she becomes increasingly independent. The children learn about themselves, what the
ir place in the world is, how people feel about them, and how they feel about themselves. The Oak Hill School Pre-Kindergarten provides for the optimal development of each child as a person.
