“Positive and productive after-school adventures in learning and recreation.”
Explorations, operated by Oak Hill School, is open to Oak Hill School students in grades PreK-6. Our curriculum is designed to provide a balance of structure and flexibility. The program provides students with much needed downtime and offers a variety of choices when selecting structured activities.
Session 2 Registration Deadline: Wednesday, November 29th.
Explorations mini-classes are additional activities offered after school that further enrich the Oak Hill experience. Mini-classes are open to any OHS student interested in attending. On days that students attend mini-classes, students may stay in Explorations at no additional charge.
Multiple mini-classes are offered throughout the school year to appeal to a wide variety of interests and accommodate various schedules. Please Note - some classes require a minimum number of registrations and are subject to cancellation if the required class size is not met.
Fun, Learning, and Food
Explorations provides a safe environment for students to have fun, study, and participate in a variety of mini-classes and after school activities that they may not experience during the regular school day. In addition, the Panther Pantry cart will offer healthy and nutritious snack options.
Daily study hall is held for students in the state-of-the-art Innovation Lab. During this time students have the opportunity to receive homework assistance from our staff. Dedicated seasonal sports study halls are also provided at a discounted rate for school athletic teams.
The Explorations staff includes a team of experienced educators and certified teachers, many of whom hold advanced degrees in education.
Students in Explorations have access to our fully-equipped, child-friendly rooms that provide them with an adequate space to meet their social, physical and cognitive needs. Participants will also use the playground, art room, Enrichment Center auditorium, and gymnasium on occasion.
