Coach-Athletics

The Oak Hill School Athletic Department is seeking to hire individuals to coach within our athletic department.

Responsibilities:

  • Has a thorough knowledge of interscholastic athletics and the Oak Hill School, Harpeth Valley Conference, and TSSAA, athletic mission and policies 

  • Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury. 

  • Communicates immediately and follows established procedure in the event of a disciplinary, safety, health, or football issue.

  • Follows school, state, regional, and district regulations governing the athletic program. 

  • Models good sportsmanship behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. 

  • Follows the direction of the head coach and athletic director on the maintenance, cleanliness, distribution, and retrieval of athletic uniforms and equipment

  • Maintains positive public relations with parents, officials, volunteers, social media, and fans

  • Attends staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance annually. 

  • Stays current in all required sport specific and school mandated certifications 

  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by the athletic director 

Skills & Characteristics:

We want responsible individuals that have a commitment to the whole child while teaching them the skills needed to be successful for that athletic team. This person needs to have a desire to work with children, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and can be a collaborative team player. The person should have a positive, upbeat coaching style, and understands and supports the Oak Hill School’s mission, values and culture
