OHS Speaker Series with author of NYT bestseller "How to Raise An Adult" is tomorrow at 6 p.m.

November 05, 2018

The next Common Trust Speaker Series event at Oak Hill School is tomorrow, November 6, at 6 p.m.

We are extremely excited to welcome Julie Lythcott-Haims, author of the New York Times best-selling book How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success. This book emerged from Julie’s decade as Stanford University’s Dean of Freshmen, where she was known for her fierce advocacy for young adults as well as her fierce critique of helicopter parenting. With humor and a keen understanding of students and young adults, her talk will highlight the ways in which overparenting harms children and the importance of allowing them to make their own mistakes to develop the resilience and determination needed for success in today’s society.

The event is FREE and open to the public! We welcome any educators or parents interested in attending.
