- In memory of Patricia Shockley, a former OHS staff member who loved to knit and taught so many students to do the same, we will collect new or gently used knitted hats, gloves and scarves for men, women and children in need for the P.S. You Are Loved campaign. The knitted winter items will be collected during the next house party this Friday, February 5. With each item, students will include a special ribbon that says, “P.S. You Are Loved.” These items will be donated to local homeless individuals on Hearts of Service Day. Please bring your knitted items this week and give to your house leader or bring this Friday to your house party location.
- The Daddy/Daughter Breakfast is this Friday, February 5, at 7 a.m., in the Enrichment Center. Join us for Dunkin’ Donuts, oatmeal, sausage and coffee, as you start the day off right with your daughter! Early morning care will open at 7 a.m., to accommodate the sons of dads attending the breakfast with their daughters. If you are attending the breakfast, please enter through the Enrichment Center doors.
- In honor of Super Bowl Sunday, we will get in the spirit with a special Jersey and Jeans Day on Friday, February 5. Students may wear their favorite team jersey with jeans or dress code bottoms. No jersey? Then, students may wear their favorite team shirt. No next school attire is permitted. If the Panthers win the Super Bowl, students will celebrate with a Duds Day on Tuesday, February 9. And if the Broncos win, all students will receive an extra 15 minutes at recess. May the best team win!
