- Welcome back from spring break! We hope you and your family enjoyed a safe and refreshing break. We are excited for a strong finish to this wonderful school year.
- The cherished Grandparents & Special Friends Day is this Friday, March 30. The PreK-2nd grade program begins at 8:30 a.m., in the Enrichment Center, followed by classroom receptions for ALL GRADES at 9:15 a.m. The 3rd-6th grade program begins at 10:10 a.m., in the Enrichment Center. The Auditorium will open at 7:45 a.m. for grandparents and special friends seating. Students should wear their dress uniforms for this special day. PreK and Kindergarten only students will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m., and all other students will be dismissed at 11 a.m., for Easter weekend.
- Explorations will be closed on Friday, March 30, following early dismissal for Easter weekend.
- Please remember to fill out the Parents Association Volunteer Interest Form to help with the many planned events for the 2018-19 school year. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the form found HERE as soon as possible.
- Our final Lenten service is this Wednesday, March 28, at 8 a.m. in the First Presbyterian sanctuary. The fifth grade Sage and Kelly cohorts will lead this service. Our Lenten services will focus on the lessons that Jesus taught us while he was here living on Earth. All students are expected to wear their dress uniform. Parents are welcome to join us and attend the Lent services.
- Dads, remember to mark your calendars for the Father/Son Breakfast, scheduled for Friday, April 6, at 7 a.m., in the Enrichment Center. All boys, PreK through sixth grade, are invited to attend with their dad. Join us for donuts and coffee to get the day started off right. Early morning care will open at 7 a.m. to accommodate the daughters of dads attending the breakfast with their sons.
- Don’t miss our upcoming Connections Events! Connections Events are fun ways for parents and families to “connect” with other OHS families outside of school. Connections Event #1: Wine Down Party, held at the home of Nina and Michael Lindley, on Friday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m. During this event, teams of TWO will bring 3 identical bottles of wine ($20 max per bottle). Two bottles will be shared for tasting and one will be set aside for the winning team. Two teams will walk away with a case of wine at the end of the evening. The cost to attend is $100 per couple, and the event is limited to 30 couples. To register and grab your team’s spot, click HERE.
- Connections Event #2: Sounds Baseball Sunday on April 29, at 1:05 p.m. The PA has reserved a limited number of seats for the OHS community to sit together. Click HERE to purchase tickets in the Oak Hill block. Don’t forget to use the promo code, OAKHILL18, when making your purchase.
- The 2018 Spring Fling is coming up on Friday, April 20, at Top Golf. This is sure to be a fun night for all of our parents to get together and experience one of Nashville’s newest venues. Be on the lookout for an invitation soon!
The March virtue is PEACE. Our verse this week is from Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep them in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
