Week of September 25, 2016
NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Mid-term progress reports for students in first through sixth grade will be sent home on Tuesday, September 27. Be on the lookout for this update in your child’s Tuesday Folder.
- Beginning tomorrow, parents may join students for lunch. Meal tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under five years old and may be purchased from the main office. Cash or check only. Please note, we have a limited number of seats available in the Dining Hall, a room just outside the Dining Hall and on the patio. If possible, consider spreading out your visits to ensure seating is available for all guests.
- Admissions Information Sessions are quickly approaching on October 5 and 6. Any current family who is considering OHS for a younger sibling is welcome to attend. Please encourage families you know who may be interested in Oak Hill to also attend. For more information, contact Todd Counter, countert@oakhillschool.org, or Donna Stewart, stewartd@oakhillschool.org.
- School Picture Days are this week! Pictures for students in PreK, third, fourth and fifth grades will be taken on Wednesday, September 28, and pictures for students in Kindergarten, first and second grades will be taken on Thursday, September 29. Be sure your child is dressed in standard uniform and ready on the scheduled day. Remember, yellow shirts do not photograph well.
- Don’t forget to continue collecting Box Tops for Education to help OHS earn Easy Money. The first collection begins the week of October 3. For a complete list of products where BoxTops can be found, please click HERE. If you have questions, please contact Catherine Beemer, cathbeemer@comcast.net.
- September is Hunger Action Month. Each September, people across America unite to take action against hunger, one of our nation’s most pressing issues. Now through Friday, October 7, please bring two or more items from your own pantry to the Second Harvest Collection boxes, which will be located in the Rotunda and in each wing of the school. Please talk to your child about why people are hungry. For more information, visit the Second Harvest website by clicking HERE.
