Technology Integrator Job Description
Position Summary:
The Technology Integrator (TI) plays a key role in facilitating the use of technology in the classroom and school as a whole. The TI should understand the strategic technology plan and take the lead role with plan implementation. The TI has several key areas of focus: research, acquisition, implementation, teaching, and teacher training. We are committed to providing cutting edge technology resources and instruction to our students and faculty. The TI should have a passion for technology and a thirst for knowledge.
Responsibilities and Skills:

Responsible for implementing the school’s strategic technology plan.

Responsible for visiting other schools to witness their technology and classroom use.

Create documentation and recommendations following site visitations.

Identify trends in software, hardware, curriculum, teaching strategies, and other areas.

Develop best practices for instructional technology in grades PreK-6.
-
Work with the Technology Director to develop both short-term (1yr) and long-term (3yr) technology plans.

Assist teachers in developing curriculum and content utilizing technology.

Develop methods of incorporating interactive technology to improve learning experience.
-
Conduct technology training for instructional staff; review and recommend technology based professional development opportunities.

Perform ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the instructional technology.

Teach classroom technology courses to students in grades PreK-6.

Develop a technology resource environment that can be easily accessed by teachers, non instructional staff and students.

Help with the preparation for group testing and data collection.

Help with the preparation of grade reports.

Provide support to teachers with the Veracross School Information System.

Must be able to learn how to use new software quickly, and then teach others.

Must demonstrate a high level of initiative.

Must have critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

Must be proficient in the following software:
Microsoft Office Products
Microsoft MovieMaker
Apple iMovie
Apple Keynote
Apple Numbers
Apple Pages
Google Apps

Must have a good general knowledge of the Windows 7 operating system.

Audio/Visual, Printing and Desktop Support.
- Perform necessary duties including but not limited to morning arrival, lunch, dismissal, and after-school duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or higher and mastery of core subject.

Minimum 2-5 years’ experience.
-
Tennessee Teaching Licensure preferred.
-
Excellent facilitator with the ability to motivate, direct, and train people and collaborate and interact with others effectively and productively.

Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a strong attention to detail.
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Commitment to excellence and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
-
Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives.
-
Adaptability in dealing with change, delays or unexpected events to ensure the general welfare of the school.
- Pass criminal background check and drug test.
