The following postions are currently available:

5th Grade Science Teacher and Advisor - Oak Hill School seeks a creative and collaborative teacher for fifth-grade science and the fifth-grade advising team.

Specific responsibilities of the position include teaching science, serve as advisor to a small cluster of fifth-grade students, supervise and provide learning support for advisees, help students during study hall, collaborate on grade-level and subject-matter teams, participate in class outings and overnights, and design and teach innovative lessons that differentiate for a variety of  learning styles. Qualifications include at least a bachelor’s degree in science or a closely related field as well as elementary or middle-school teaching experience. Experience in curriculum development and revision are also required.

Head Volleyball Coach (6th Grade Girls) - The Athletic Department is seeking a 6th Grade Head Girls Volleyball Coach.   

We want a responsible individual that has a commitment to the whole child while teaching them the skills needed in volleyball.  This person needs to have a desire to work with children, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and can be a collaborative team player while leading this team.  The person should have a positive, upbeat coaching style.  The head coach will be responsible for player feedback, some parent/player communication, assist with managing uniform and team equipment, and collaborate with the athletic director on the volleyball practice/game schedule.   A college degree and experience in volleyball is required.   After- school availability would start at 2:00 pm for practices and games from August through September.   There may also be other responsibilities as assigned.  Please contact Patrice Elder with any questions or for more information.

Assistant Cheerleading Coach (5th and 6th Grade) - The Athletic Department is seeking an Assistant Cheerleading Coach for our 5th and 6th Grade Cheer Program.   

We want a responsible individual that has a commitment to the whole child while teaching them the skills needed in cheerleading.  This person needs to have a desire to work with children, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and can be a collaborative team player while assisting the head coach with this team.  The person should have a positive, upbeat coaching style.  The coach will assist the athletic director and head coach with managing uniform/ team equipment and collaborate with the head coach on practice drills and cheerleading routines.  Also, there may be required events, games, and competitions that are necessary for all coaches to attend with the students.   A college degree and 3-5 years experience in cheerleading is preferred.   After- school availability would start at 2:30 pm for practices and games from August through December.   There may also be other responsibilities as assigned.  Please contact Patrice Elder with any questions or for more information.

Assistant Cross Country Coach (Kindergarten - 6th Grade) - The Athletic Department is seeking an Assistant Cross Country Coach for our Kindergarten-6th Grade Cross Country Program.   

We want a responsible individual that has a commitment to the whole child while teaching them the skills needed in cross country.  This person needs to have a desire to work with children, excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and can be a collaborative team player while assisting the head coach with this team.  The person should have a positive, upbeat coaching style.  The coach will assist the athletic director and head coach with managing uniform/ team equipment and collaborate with the head coach on practice drills and attend all scheduled cross country meets.   A college degree and experience in cross country is preferred.   After- school availability would start at 2:30 pm for practices and meets from August through October.   There may also be other responsibilities as assigned.  Please contact Patrice Elder with any questions or for more information.

PRN Substitute School Nurse - Provide nursing services for students including:

  • Medication Administration.
  • Provide Nursing care to students: including assessment, evaluation and
    interventions for actual and potential health problems and implement first aid
    measures for injuries.

  • Treat and Manage students with chronic health conditions such as: Diabetes,
    Asthma, Food Allergies, etc.

  • Promotion of health and safety.
  • Actively collaborate with school staff, faculty and families.
  • Initiate emergency procedures for students and staff as needed.

Qualifications and Required Licensing:

  • Current Tennessee Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Ability to complete and pass a background check and drug screen. 
  • One year of nursing experience.

After-School Care Providers - Explorations, the after-school program at Oak Hill School, seeks responsible individuals to serve as after-school care providers, working with children, ages 4-12, in a structured and fun environment. The positions offer an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children. A background in education is preferred, but not required.

Substitute Teacher - We are currently seeking talented candidates to substitute teach in all grades and classes. A college degree is required. Experience working with children or education is preferred. Please complete the online application for consideration.

Substitute Bus Driver - We are currently seeking substitute bus drivers for morning and afternoon routes and for field trips. The requirements include 3-5 years experience, Class B CDL with P & S endorsements, history of unrestricted driving record, current DOT medical card.
