Preparing for Transition

Preparing for Transition
By Sarah Nickoloff, Director of Admissions

Looking at schools for your child means preparing for transition. This is a time filled with excitement, anticipation, and wonder. As your family prepares for this next transition, below are three factors that you might consider as you make your decision. According to the American Psychological Association, these factors help to support a positive transition and an easy landing at a new school. Here you will see how Oak Hill School is committed to incorporating care and support in these essential areas, as well as providing a place where students and their families can thrive and succeed.

Partnerships Between Schools and Families

At Oak Hill School, we value the enthusiasm and care that a new family brings to the community. From the beginning, our families, faculty, and staff are here to welcome new faces and make them feel at home. We work daily to ensure that the school’s relationship with our families is strong, inclusive, transparent, and positive.
