Remote Learning Begins Today
Here we go! Today marks the launch of our remote learning plan. We are approaching this new way of teaching and learning with much enthusiasm and optimism, recognizing that we will encounter some bumps and challenges along the way. Because remote learning is new to most of us, flexibility, patience and understanding will be essential in the days ahead as we adapt and adjust plans to best meet the needs of our students and families. I want to reassure you that we are focused on supporting our students so that learning and growth continues and we stay connected as a community.
Our teachers have been hard at work creating engaging lesson plans and exploring new resources to deliver a remote curriculum that continues to foster joyful learning. Beginning today, daily lesson plans and instructions will be placed in the following grade-level folders. Click on the applicable link for your child’s grade. Be sure to bookmark the folders for easy access.
Teachers will be in regular communication throughout the duration of remote learning and will serve as your first point of contact for questions about lessons and related assignments. Brenda Boon, Cheryl Horner and Martha Newson are also available to help guide you through this process. Your feedback will help us adjust any plans to make remote learning a more meaningful experience for all, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns at any time.
Before you get started, however, I invite you and your children to click on the video below for a personal welcome to remote learning from me. I look forward to sharing in this journey with you.
