What is the purpose of the Summer Teachers Institute?

  • to build a partnership across charter, public and private school organizations

  • to provide professional development for elementary and middle school teachers in key areas — social-emotional learning and culturally-responsive teaching — for the 21st century learner

 

Who Should Attend?

Elementary and middle school teachers who want to leave inspired and ready to implement innovative teaching methods, who enjoy collaboration and desire a partnership among charter, public and private school teachers where we can learn and share best practices around the topics of social-emotional learning and culturally-responsive teaching. We will also have presentations dedicated to allow us to share our experiences from the last year of teaching amidst COVID-19 and prepare for the future of education together.

 

My school/district requires proof of attendance. Do you provide something official?

Yes. We will provide a certificate with professional development hours at the institute. These will be distributed via email after the conference. You must attend both days via Live Zoom to receive the certificate.

 

Updated Refund Policy:

To those who registered before May 15th, 2020 and paid the originally planned fee, checks to fully reimburse the initial payment will be sent by June 1st.
